At the top of the web pages while I am at The Forge this "header" for lack of a better term appears on every page -

On the first line is the following - Location via proxy: (then there is a box with the following URL - http://www.indie-rpgs.com/posting.php?mode=newtopic&f=1) with a button attached to the end of the box that says, without the quotes "Go" and then a link that looks like - [ UP ] with the url of http://ivanhoeunbound.com/./././http/www.indie-rpgs.com/

On the second line is a link - [Manage cookies] with url of - http://ivanhoeunbound.com/./././x-proxy/cookies/manage?from=http%2fwww.indie-rpgs.com%2fposting.php%3fmode%3dnewtopic%26f%3d1 and then a series of five check boxes with the following items - No cookies No scripts No ads No referrer Show this form

As it turns out the URL's for the [UP] link and the [Manage cookies] both link to Xiomborg's web site.

Also I am getting the following URL in my Address bar while I am typing this message in the Site Discussion Message body box - http://ivanhoeunbound.com/./././http/www.indie-rpgs.com/posting.php?mode=newtopic&f=1

Obviously I don't believe Xiombarg to be a hacker, but this is freaking me out a little. Does anyone have any clues what might be going on? So far it only happens when I am at The Forge.

That is distinct oddness, and I'm going to see what can be done about it immediately. It sounds like you are accessing the Forge through Xiombarg's web proxy, but how you're doing that without knowing about it is strange.

You may have been accessing the Forge through a link that accidentally uses my proxy, perhaps from my del.icio.us bookmarks or something. :-P

Just strip away the first part of the link and access the Forge directly with http://indie-rpgs.com

Note:

I don't normally edit posts, but I edited the above one to change the URLs, so that Xiombarg's proxy URL was not visible.

Thank you, Clinton!

If various firewalls didn't block the Forge this wouldn't be an issue. Stupid people wanting us to use work Internet for work, even when on break! :)

Hey Clinton and Xiombarg!

You were both correct, and the problem has been corrected!

Thank you both for your time and efforts!
