I have been debating for a while about what kind of die system to use with my new RPG that I am creating.... What system have you all found to be the easiest to use?

Your RPG is what?

Could you elaborate on what ur RPG is? Maybe that would give readers a little more idea of what to tell you.

G/L :-)

Okay, Well the game thus far has been limited to storyline only on Yahoo groups... DAMN! I will gladly elaborate more but my comp time at the library is up so I will have to do it later.... bye.

I've found that the easiest die system is to use no dice at all. :) But if you insist, I'd suggest just using one die for an action by players, together with no mathematical operations, like addition. In my experience, it's very, very fast in play as the GM doesn't need to roll, players find it easy to work out their success chance, and it's easier to keep track of just one die rolling on the table.
YMMV.

Hello,

I suggest that discussing the dice system, or any system, is premature. A recent thread might be useful for you; click here and read the posts from Cynthia, Fabrice (little nicky) and Jack (pblock). They demonstrate exactly the sorts of questions that should come first in game design. If you've already considered these issues, then let us know what you've come up with so we can talk about systems, but if you haven't, then we definitely should talk about those things first.

Best,
Ron

Actually, it will be from Jack Spencer Jr as I asked Clinton to change my handle as part of what Harlan Ellison called "A lemming-like need to be up front." Just so no one goes looking for this pblock character and he can't be found.
