Breaking the Ice: Diplomacy [alternate setting]

Facts
Moscow, Sovjet Republic, October 27, 1962
President Khrushchev had accused the US of piracy and of trying to provoke a war which would annihilate mankind. Two U2 planes were shot down; a nuclear war seemed imminent.

Fiction
Great Brittain tries to get negotiation going between the two countries. Because the Russians claim the Brittains to be pro-American, another, more neutral place, is chosen for a meeting: The Hague, The Netherlands.

Players play diplomatics, trying to get an agreement with each other. Both know well that a nuclear war is a disaster. Will they succeed in their plans? Or will the earth be destroyed by the nuclear war?

The main difference is politics: millitaristic socialism versus capitalism. Both parties think the other is a strong nation, capable of destroying the other.

I must say I haven't quite experienced the whole range of games possible of Breaking the Ice, but this went on and on in my head, so I had to check whether there would be someone who sees possibilities :).
