Wanted: Universalis Proofreader
I've been deep in the rewrite of Universalis for my next printing. The rules haven't changed (with a few small exceptions) but the text has been reorganized, clarified, restructured, and significant parts of it have been completely rewritten from scratch. In addition there are "how to play" advices and essays from the fans scattered throughout the new text.
Given how much of the text has been rewritten I need a dilligent and knowledgable proof reader to edit the new text. Person with actual "proper english useage" qualifications preferred and rates are negotiable.
Primary needs: proper punctuation (I'm dangerous with commas and semi colons), spelling (of the type not catchable by spell check), tense shifts, proper pronoun references, run on sentences, sentence fragments, legacy text that doesn't fit because its left over from the old edition, double checking the accuracy of the examples, general word useage (I'm also dangerous with effect and affect), and similar proof reading exercises.
The text will wind up around 30-35,000 words and will be ready for editing no later than 12/5.
If you're interested please contact me by PM here or by email at Valamir@aol.com and include your experience, your availabilty, a target completion time, and desired compensation.
Thanks,
Ralph

Depending on the response you get, you might want to check with Rich Forest, who's done similar work on Burning Wheel, Octane, and others. Don't know what his schedule's like at the moment though, so you'd have to ask him personally.

I realize that your post has been up for a while now, but if you are still in need of a proofreader I would be very interested in helping out. I will send you an email with my qualifications, such as they are, and contact information.
