Kayfabe is nearing completion for GENCON and I've had offers by three people to do supplements.
One guy wants to do preestablished promotion supplement.
One guy is already writing a Kayfabe LARP
and our own Cynthia wants to do an OLD school pre 1950s supplement.
I'm kind of at a loss on how to handle the money issues on this. From the sounds of things they are expecting that I would get the majority of the cash these supplements would generate, but frankly, I don't think I'd feel right doing that considering they woiuld be doing a lot of the leg work.
I was wondering how others handled this sort of thing.
Ron, do you get any money for Urge, Schism, Hellbound or Electric Ghosts or do the profits go to the writers?

I do not make any money on the Sorcerer mini-supplements. All funds from customers go individually to the authors, via their own Paypal buttons; I don't even process their orders or perceive them in any way.
Given my value system regarding creative ownership, I don't see any other solution. I think that your best bet might be to consider the following options, for a given supplement.
1) Have it be free. That solves everything.
2) Give the author total commercial control; this is my solution, but note that I do ask one compromise, that it be sold from my website.
3) Do some weird thing in which you sell it and give some payment to them, or they pay you a flat fee for licensing the property, etc, etc. If you go this route, I have nothing to criticize, but neither would I be surprised at any ensuing disasters.

Options 1 and 2 sound the best for me. I'll leave it up to them if they want to sell them or give them away.

Tim's InSpectres supplements is available for no charge from my site.
One upcoming supplement will also be available (from my site) but a fee is involved.
Option C is just ridiculous. A works for me right now, and B seems to work for Ron.
