TSOY, Donjon in G.O.D. session at GenCon
Hi all:
I am going to be running two Games on Demand (G.O.D.) session at GenCon, and would like to be prepared to run either Donjon or TSOY for people if they want it. Can anyone here direct me, provide me, or otherwise help me with materials to set up a four hour session (hopefully fairly self-contained) of these two games? I will NOT be highly experienced in either by that point (on TSOY, it could be the first time I have ever played or GM'ed the thing), so any help to provide people who are paying good hard cash for me to provide the entertainment would be appreciated.

Hans, awesome, thanks for being excited about my games, blah, blah.
Ok, seriously, my apologies beforehand for taking you to task.

What the hell is up with the concept of running a game of something for a total group of strangers at a convention that you've never run before? Man, this hobby is bizarre.
As far as I can see it, the main reasons to run a game at a convention is to (a) play with far-away friends, or (b) more likely, to promote the game. And you can't promote the game if you don't know what you're doing.
My advice - either download the free rules for TSOY online or buy a copy and read them and then play it with friends, like five times, and if you still like it, run it at a convention, and I will praise you and thank you and treat you like you just made my day, 'cause you will.
Please don't do this thing where you take people's money to see you run a game that you've never run before. It hurts me. This happened elsewhere with one of my games recently, where the GM had never run a game remotely like mine before, and he wondered why it went well.

Taken to task, and properly chagrined. You are absolutely right. My intent was to provide the widest possible array of choices, but you rightly point out it is better to offer a shorter list of really well done games then a wider list of not so well done games. I withdraw the request at this time.
Assuming I am able to play the games and run them sufficiently so as not to totally screw them up by the time GenCon rolls around, and I feel like I can do so with the confidence that even if Clinton shows up he would be pleased with the light in which I am showing his games, I will repost to this thread closer to the convention, and ask for the advice again.
