German printing quality
Dear All,
Anyone here would know how the Germans achieve their print quality while printing board games? The paper usually has a linen texture and is varnish. Would anyone know the brands of paper usually used? And the types of varnish? Any information and lead on this is welcome.
Thank you all,
Jose Neto

Printing in Europe is almost a completely different industry than printing in the US and Canada. Over here, we have exactly three industrial printers; over there, there's too many to count. Which means they differentiate on lots of fine-grained distinctions (like paper weights and paper materials) that simply aren't available over here. That's why books and cards and things from Europe feel so different -- they're made of different stuff, and made by different processes. Point being, if you want any of that, you're probably going to have to print in Europe.
