Push Sales: Our First Month
In case anyone's interested in what sales figures might look like for a new product with a reasonable amount of hype, I've posted a summery of our first month's sales and a spreadsheet that divides them up in detail here:
http://thou-and-one.blogspot.com/2006/08/push-sales-report-july-24-aug-24.html
To summerize:
23 PDFs
63 Print (44 of those at GenCon)
86 Total Copies Sold
$762.13 Total Profit
$95.27 For Each Contributor, including the Cover Artist
$0.00 For Each Commentator (maybe next time, folks!)
$285.80 For Me (triple duty: Contributing, Editing, Layout)
There's also a bunch of preliminary thinking about how I'm going to make sure contributors to past and future volumes of Push get their money once I have, say, three different sets of contributors who worked on three different volumes, all of which are for sale.
