Introduction to Undying Earth
What is Undying Earth?
It is a Role-Playing game set in an alternate earth. That is to say, the world shares the similar geography, it is still the third planet from the sun, and most of nature works in the same way as our real world. But, the human beings that inhabit this world are undying, or rather, human beings are immortal, unaffected by the weary effects of aging and they do not easily succumb to disease. In Undying Earth players create characters out of these immortal humans, and interact with the Game Master to create a story filled with both the power and the obstacles that come with living forever.
The Theme
The word nature means many things to many people, but as of now use “nature” to refer to the natural occurrences in the world. Most things that happen in the world are in accordance with nature; the weather cycles, the way animals act on instinct, the natural adaptation or evolution of a species and the food chain are all different parts of nature. Another natural occurrence in the world is the life cycle. The life cycle refers to the birth, growth, reproduction, and eventual death of natural creatures, and most living creatures fall victim to the cycle of life and death. Humans, although, are immortal, exempt from death, exempt from the natural way of the world. Nature has no room for immortal beings and, to say the least, nature has no room for humans. How exactly is nature affected by humans, you ask? Well, when any creature is born into this world an amount of “life energy” is enters the body; the “life energy” is the byproduct of the natural cycles in the world, a natural, base type of energy that all life runs on. The amount of “life energy” that enters the sort of gathers into a pool, throughout the beings life this pool is slowly drained, and when the pool is depleted the creature dies. This is what we mean by “death by natural causes”. But, when humans are born, they are born immortal. Human life has no limit, therefore the pool of “life energy” is ever refreshing, and constantly drawing on the “life energy” created by natural process, therefore nature must work harder and more quickly to produce enough life energy. It is common knowledge that the way animals and plants adapt to surroundings and circumstances is a very natural process, but few think that nature as a whole would attempt to adapt. Nature as a whole does, in fact, attempt, fiercely so, to adapt to humanities constant strain on it, but, nature will never be able to compensate for or adapt to human existence.
Undying Earth is a game about the breakdown of nature, not because of the actions, but because of the existence of humanity, and nature’s fierce attempt to adapt to the constant drain of “life energy”

Hi, and welcome to The Forge
First I want to ask you what it is you want help with? You seem to have a good idea of what you want the game to be about, so it is hard for me to give any feedback on that.
I do have a question for you: What is it that the characters do in this game? What kind of stories are told with this game?
