If a complication is about eliminating a component (e.g., character), and during the resolution the component is narrated as having additional traits (the controller seeking to give them traits resisting the method of elimination), then is the elimination cost the cost before the complication started, or at the end?
A character is being shot at, the controller narrates them ducking using their fast reflexes (1 coin), making them +1 coin in value (say they were 10 before). Do they cost 10 to eliminate or 11?

A Component always has an Importance equal to the total number of Traits purchased for it (that have not been subsequently removed). It always costs Coins equal to the Component's Importance to Eliminate.
So if a Component started at Importance 10 and has a Trait purchased for it during a Complication it is now Importance 11 and thus costs 11 Coins to Eliminate.
