I just checked out Steve Dempsey's CAH review and figured I'd pass the URL along to you guys. I found the review to be extremely thoughtful, informative and well-done. :)

Cynthia,

Actually it was Steve Darlington who wrote the review.

And a good one it was.

Man, I'm on a losing streak today. Thanks for pointing this out, as I always seem to confuse those two.

I agree 100%, Ron. I feel quite honored to say the least. When he gives a review, he always calls it right down the middle, which is a darn fine trait for a reviewer to have.

Not to mention rare :) But I agree that it was a very good, objective review.

By the way, Cynthia, when you folks do decide to publish a hardcopy version of CAH, will any errata be addressed in the printed version? Assuming there is any to begin with...

You bet! We view the PDF venture as something of a field test. It allows us to expose the game to a fairly wide audience who can pick it apart beyond the scope of playtesting.

That said, the PDF gets updated whenever it is needed and all those who purchased the game can get the revised versions free of charge. It seems that the influx of errata has slowed down to a mere drip now.

This, to me, is one of the greatest aspects of PDF publishing. Had we went straight to print, we would have had a long errata sheet to contend with. As it is, we're able to work out those unforseen kinks and glitches before committing it to hardcopy.

Excellent! I noticed that CAH was relatively solid in those terms. But one more question:

Once the core book goes to print, will other supplements follow suit? Or does Spectrum plan on supporting the line with PDFs?

CAH Supplements

We plan on following the same procedure with our supplements. Field test followed by hardcopy.

And of course, the PDFs will remain available as well. I've become rather fond of the format and I think there will be more of a market for PDF games as time goes on.
