I'm trying to find some old threads for reference. I'm looking for discussions on the issue of when content (characters, events, setting, facts, etc.) are established in the SIS/fiction. The answer is during play; this relates both to prep work and "secret" knowledge (ideas that are just in the player's head).

I remember this was discussed a few times, probably in the old theory and/or GNS boards, but I'm having trouble finding any threads through my own searching. I've tried a few searches using "prep","secret", & "SIS", but no luck. Maybe someone has a thread bookmarked, or maybe someone can suggest some terms for me to search? Links to discussions off-site would work, too.

I always love a search challenge. At first glance this looks promising. This may be useful also, but I didn't follow it as well in a quick read. In case those aren't helpful here's the search term I used via google:
