[Afraid] Quick question

If a player's character has a pet (dog, cat, whatever) that would defend the character where would be the best place to put that pet on the character sheet:

Under Traits: "My dog loves me"
Relationships: "Spike - my dog and my best friend"
Belongings: Dog named Spike

Yes.

More seriously, i can't answer specifically for Afraid, but I imagine the answer is the same as it would be under Dogs, and the answer there is: it depends. It could be any of the three, or any combination of the three, depending on how you wanted to use it. I did have a PC who had a Dog as all three types (a Dog with a dog), and the ones he used depended on the specific conflict.

If you make the dog a trait, you get to choose its dice, but you have to spend them from your trait dice. If you make the dog a belonging, you go with the dice for crap-normal-excellent-big, and they're free. If you do both, you do both.

If you make the dog a relationship, you get those dice pretty much only when the dog's in danger or the dog's your enemy.
