They are not really right for the publishing section - where is the appropriate place to put press releases? Maybe you need a place for them like the have on RPG.net.

You can put them in Publishing as long as there's something to learn about or discuss in your post.
The Forge really isn't a place for announcing things in the "press release" sense. RPG.net serves that purpose reasonably well.

Gaming Outpost has an Announcements forum for such things, and there's a new site called Gamerlicious that is trying to fill a perceived need in terms of RPG news.
