I think Mexal's last paragraph is extremely interesting:

"Roleplaying is all about creating other characters, not being me. I do that the rest of the time. To be honest, I rarely notice - sometimes I think it's a bit sad that so few women role-play, but then I find many of the so-called "women's interests" utterly boring; funnily enough, I cannot cook but quite a few of my characters do!"

I suppose this is a minority view, but I mean, really, I have not seen many women heavily turned off by the scantily clad ladies and what not. Sure, it isn't RIGHT, but what if it isn't the issue? What if ladies aren't involved in our industry just because they haven't been asked?

Are we just not doing enough of a job inviting women to game with us?

Thanx,
Nathan

Nathan,

You did see Poppacabba's thread in Game Design, didn't you? It wanders a bit, but about halfway through we got on track and hammered out a lot of issues, in my opinion.

Best,
Ron
