Ink?
My friend and I played in a few of the demos (Himler and Georgio) and bought one of the first edition books when it was first released in The Dragon's Keep. Like pretty much everyone else here, we absolutely love the system. The only gripe we have is that the ink is... well... to put it bluntly, quite horrendous. It practically smears even when we breathe on it. Now, I'm not sure if this is because the ink hadn't fully dried when we recieved the copy. But I know that I'd be more than happy to spend an extra couple of dollars to pay for ink that didn't suck.
So, basically my question is, is the ink in the second printing a bit better? And if it still kinda smears would it be possible to improve the printing quality in its third release?
It's just my thoughts in the matter.

Hey there-
The ink in the new printing has no such problems. There were several issues concerning the first printing quality that we *really* wanted to remedy with the second, such as the darkness and muddiness of our lovely art, the smearing ink, and so forth, none of which is a problem in the new printing.
I'm trying to work out a deal with the Dragon's Keep right now to get people with 1st Printing a discount on 2nd printing, though I can promise nothing!

Hi Jake,
Quick publishing recommendation: never, never use the word "discount" in any capacity, near an RPG retailer. What you're talking about is a "pre-payment" or "credit," or something similar.
Best,
Ron

Doh! You're so right! And I used to be a retailer, too. Duh me!
That means, uh, that I'm trying to work it out locally so that a purchase of the first printing acts a form of partial pre-pay for the new printing. This will only be available in Provo (sorry) and at GenCon, if you bring your original copy with you.
