Fantasy Monster Art Patronage Project

Hey Everyone,

My name is Rick Hershey, I own and operate Empty Room Studios. I've been coming here to the Forge for a good while, but mainly just lurking and reading.

Anyways, I've seen a recent trend of publishers holding "ransoms" or "patronage" models to produce certain rpg games and in a discussion the idea was brought up about doing the same for artwork. Fast forward a couple weeks and one of our In-house projects gave me an excuse to try out the Patronage model and see if it's useful as an artist.

The full details of the project are at my blog: http://rickhersheyart.blogspot.com/

I'm also giving a bonus image to the $25 patrons who sign up before Sunday.

Anyways, I'm trying to spread the word and see if this is a model that could be expanded and help offer freelance artists a way to make money, but spread the costs of production across the pockets of many publishers. Thanks, and I would love any feedback or questions.
