I was at the San Diego Museum of Man in Balboa Park today and saw their exhibit "Counter Cultures: the Secret Lives of Games". I set aside my comments about the exhibit, which was focused on twentieth century boardgames (although they did display a D&D boxed set I'd never seen before, and an edition of CoC I don't own). But I wanted to bring to The Forge's attention that the museum is sponsoring a game design competition. The rules are posted at the site for the exhibit:

Unfortunately (and despite the name of the exhibit), the rules make it clear that they are not looking a game with a significant role-playing element, and so the announcement is perhaps tangential to this forum. Still, many of you probably have good ideas for strategic racing board games (or role-playing mechanics that can be adapted to the purpose), and so I call your attention to it.

Good Luck.
