Storage
Hi. Sorry for not posting much after my first few posts, but I decided to do more game research before going on with the game design. Then things got busy...
Anyway, I'm really not sure which section I should post this in, but I have my system done and a pdf made. However, I have no online storage method so that people can take a look. I considered Google Docs, but I'd prefer something where I could set up a blog or site, with a link to it right there, instead of a redirect to Docs. Also, most of my browsing around for solutions has been done from work on my iPhone, and it doesn't seem to like Google Docs. What methods are people here using to house their ideas?
If I've put this in the wrong section, please move it to the right one (and please accept my apologies). The closest I could think of were First Thoughts and Publishing, and I'm nowhere near ready to publish.
Many thanks.
Pat

not the most manly of file hosting sites.and I don't see a way to delete files once you've uploaded them.
(you can make them private rather than public though)
i have recently used this site for some character Sheet pdfs - and had no problems.
Hope it helps.

You can publish a Google doc to the web. It generates a big ugly URL for it. You could do that for an overview page, and use bit.ly or tinyurl to create a more manageable url. Tinyurl will allow you to create a readable URL if you want. I think they call it a "custom alias". And then you just refer people to the readable "custom alias".

Hey thats a good Idea. Think I'll steal it for my various projects. Although not intended for me. I am going to try that. thanks Paul.

Also google has a sites function as well as a blogger account attached to the overall google account if you want to set such a thing up.
Another good option would be Dropbox, which gives you about 2 gigs of space for free and allows you to publish to web.

What about wordpress.com?

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. I think I'm leaning toward wordpress right now. It looks easy to set up and it seems to allow deleting of obsolete files.
