-Please read the DrakeStrike post before reading this because that post contains info about the main mechanics-

While I work on LichScape (First known as DrakeStrike) I got the idea of making a sci-fi RPG after the fantasy one. The core mechanics will be based on LichScape (Skill system etc.) but LichSpace (The sci-fi one) has many sci-fi aspects such as spaceship, mecha and vehicle crafting and instead of bow and sword fights there are gunfights and plasma-blade duels.
The map system introduced in LichScape are in this one too. Instead of a worldmap you have a space map with multiple galaxies, multiple star-systems, multiple planets and a map for each planet.

While the time flew in Farverden (The fantasy world) engineers began to work on steamships that could fly in space. When they soon traveled into space they was encountered by other species in the space and there was soon a peace between the people from space and Farverden. Now the technology is max in Farverden and races as Elf and Orc still exist (They are known as space-elf and green-orc) What will happen next? Wars exist in the space between the Blood-wolves, Yellow-devils and Azul Griffins which are different factions. The faction determines starting items (The Yellow-devils may start with a specific assualt-rifle as example) and the allies n enemies in war.

The creatures in space are traditional fantasy creatures such as Dragons and Giants and there should be no aliens (expect for the races). Even if the player has a plasma-rifle he may not kill a guy in one shot (As a level 1 character), guns are not overmighty as they are shown in the starwars movies (I mean: - BAM, dead...)

The classes should be Soldier (Main martial force), Medic (Healer), Grenadier (Anti-vehicle and mine-crafter), Engineer (Builder and shield destroyer), Adept (Force-user), Arcanist (Spellcaster), Recon (Overall fighter), Gunner (Main gunnery-force) and Fanatic (Religious-fighter) The grid is not square-based in this instead the grid is hex

The problem is that I don't know if these classes sounds interesting and if the name should be changed for this the sci-fi one because LichScape and LichSpace sounds too familiar

Well what do you think about this bunch of ideas???

Soon i will update the fantasy tabletop RPG LichScape site with forums and news so if you are interested about LichScape and maybe some news about the sci-fi one then visit the site

The names feel a little too obvious.

OK, lets try a mental exercise:
Close your eyes, then picture a bear in your head. Make the mental image as complete and detailed as you can. Got it? Open your eyes.
Close your eyes again, and picture a bear completely different from the first one. Got it? Open your eyes.
Close your eyes a third time, then picture a bear completely different from any of the prior bears. Then open your eyes.

Tell me about the three bears you saw.
