Baby's first Sorcerer campaign + tequila
Hi all,
Longtime lurker, recent joiner.
I finally have the right players to put together a Sorcery game and I want to make sure I've prepped right. I've been reading the various threads about story before vs story now as well as rereading the relationship map. I have the books in hard copy courtesy of Ron's website and all the mini-supplements I could find and I've read all of it at least three times.
After reading Ron's notes from Gencon in the Actual Play section, it looks like the advice for starting a "standard game" has evolved quite a bit from the sample faux haunted house in the rule book or the ideas in the Sorcerer's Apprentice document (which seems to be no longer to be found on the internet?).
So I'm hoping for advice on how to best set up to derive Maximum Super Fun (MSF) from the prep session and first play session.
It seems like it's best to start with the general "where are we" discussion with the PCs and then the "what are demons like" but I've now overdosed my brain with information and options to the point I'm really not sure which ones to use. Please help?

I believe the current state-of-the-art is "color-first prep" for where you are right now.
If you would like more information about what "color-first" is or what it should look like, I would imagine some folks around here could chime in.
Cheers,
Roger

Hi!
I think [Sorcerer] How to play a sorcerer might distill things into usable form for you and especially the players, as well as one of the threads referenced in it, [Sorcerer] How do you play it?, which is a bit more GM-focused. Let me know if they help.
Best, Ron
