Except for the example, which made little sense to me in regard to the reality that this metaphor is representing, I enjoyed the refreshing cynicism in this post. People keep jumping on Vladius for being negative and a troll; He certainly is negative but a troll he is not. A troll spouts insult and a provocation for the sake of stirring up emotions but I believe Vladius has legitimate gripes with the current state of indie pen & paper role playing games in general. There are trends and movements and change, but a lot of it IS pretentious fluff while the rest is truly daring and innovative thought that only the indie circles can realistically approach. While Vladius doesn't offer many solutions to his whines, it is important that possible flaws in our collective approach to breaking the stale mold of rpgs from 4 decades ago be considered and analyzed witha critical eye.

Split from The Forge is literally the most pretentious place ever.
"People keep jumping on Vladius for being negative and a troll." There's my takedown for your post. Nothing of the sort has occurred, especially the "keep" part. Therefore I conclude that your dog does not hunt.
Vladius has occasionally posted to the site since this thread. You can find all of his posts in the Inactive File, with the bad porn and various scam links, and judge whether I should have sunk them there, or was "jumping on him." You can also judge whether a person who posts in that way is or is not being a troll.
Please take your plea for sympathy for this person to some website where they do "keep jumping" on him, wherever it may be. That's non-negotiable.
Best, Ron
