In the rules on Armour (p86) it states that in addition to Armour Value. armour negatively affects the wearers defensive TN when dodging and/or lessens the wearer's Combat Pool.

Now the CP modifier is explicit in the table, but which modifier is used for affecting the dodge TN (i.e. increasing it)?

From the context, I'm inclined ot assume that it is the Move modifier which is intended. And since the Move modifier is bounded at -3, this does tend to make sense (affecting TNs by as much as 5 is pretty harsh!)

So, if it is the Move modifier that effects dodge TN, what about the Move modifier from Encumbrance (p94)? It makes sense that encumbrance should affect dodging just like armour does, but the Move modifiers here are given as fractions, not absolute numbers?

How do others here approach this issue? Any and all house rules welcome :-)

Actually, Paul, what you've got there is a piece of Errata. Sorry 'bout that (hey Spartan--take note!).

Ignore that bit about negative effects to dodge TN. The CP mods cover it just fine.

I'm on it! I love newbies, BTW... they're doing my work for me! :D

Speaking of errata, Jake... when do you want it done? I've started, but I'm not exactly rushing... I'd rather be thorough.

Hah, I'm actually the wrong guy to ask--I make up my own on the spot. I think that most people would like to have it done sooner rather than later, though. What time frame were you thinking?

I hadn't really given much thought... how's a month sound?

I love deadlines... I especially love the whooshing sound they make as they go by. ;)
