Formalizing Spells

Hiya gang. New poster here, can't wait to play but my group has a problem. One of my players wants to be a spellcaster and has pointed out to me that page 114 of the rulebook refers the players to a table 6.8 which is supposed to explain how Formalizing a spell reduces the CTN. However, 6.8 doesn't appear until page 118, and when it does, it's describing aging penalties. None of us are able to find this information. Are we looking in the wrong spots or is there an errata list floating around we haven't seen?

Hmm.. well, I don't have the book in front of me to check chart numbers, but basically formulising a spell reduces the CTN by 2.

Or rather, it reduces the Level component by 2, which means the same thing unless the spell is so simple the level component is only 1.

Brian.

More TROS errata. Table 6.5 on page 111 has the modifiers!

Not entirely accurate. For Spells of One, the CTN is reduced by 2. Simple as that. For Spells of Three, the level component isn't increased by additional vagaries. This can be a -0, -1 or -2 to the final product. Lastly, all Spells of Many (which have to be formalized before they can be used) reduces the CTN by 2.
