Artists Wanted
Hi,
We have a new book on the cusp of coming out and are looking for artists.
The basic style is black and white (color is optional--and we'll pay more for it--but not required) dynamic posed humans. We will be looking for about 5-10 pieces within a 1 month time frame (the sooner the better).
We are looking for:
* dynamic (scenes of people in motion or in combat)
* Porportional and with proper musculature
* Artistic assistance with specific look-and-feel/flair (we aren't artists, we'll want some help with outfits, costume design, etc.--you won't be totally left in the dark but our experience has been that artists do a better job with this on their instincts than we do).
If this sounds like the kinds of things you like to draw, contact us at the email address below and we can talk about specifics.
The finished pieces and products in development need to be delivered via email.
Our standard policy has been to work without contract (although we have worked with contracts--if your contract is extensive, our lawyer will need to look at it and that might cost money).
Typically we reserve the right to use the art in any way we want (in the game, on T-shirts, etc.), alter it (colorize it ourselves, reverse it, etc.), etc. The author also retains full rights to it--with the serious request on our part that it not be given to another RPG.
The product is JAGS, a free, high quality RPG (http://jagsgame.dyndns.org).
Payment will be on completion and via check (we have done it via Pay Pal and Western Union as well--but would prefer to send checks). Every artist we have worked with (and there have been several) has had a good experience with us--we can get references if necessary.
Contact: jagsgame@yahoo.com
(or respond here with unanswered questions that others will probably have)
Thanks,
-Marco

Hi there,
I'll put in a plug for Chris (Arashi). He's fast, good, full of ideas, works well with feedback, and other stuff like that.
Best,
Ron

Hey there,
I'd be interested in helping out, but I'd need to know a bit more about the project and whether my particular brand of artwork is what you're looking for. I tend towards collages of digital photos and my own artwork, but in a style that's cleaner & less layered than Chris Shy or Ashley Wood.
I have a limited gallery at my website you can check out, especially the newest pieces, "Boston" and "Man with Panthers," which I did for Key 20's Twelve Games of Christmas.

Appreciated responses,
We've already picked three artists and will be working with them for this project. We'll keep you in mind for our next one.
Thanks,
-Marco
