With reference to Sabriel and Lirael by Garth Nix in this thread by Ron: http://www.indie-rpgs.com/viewtopic.php?t=2129 the sequel Abhorsen is arriving (in New Zealand) next month, and all three books are in a black covers with charter marks in golden or blue fire. I'm looking forward to seeing Abhorsen. I enjoyed reading the first two books, after getting Ron's recommendation for them.

Man, I have to you now. We won't get them here for quite a while yet.

Yay!
I'm hoping the third book shows more focus than Lirael did. It was a great story for zombies doin' really bad stuff, but the protagonists annoyed me, in great contrast to Sabriel, which had friggin' great protagonists. Aside from personal tastes in heroes, the book also suffered from the "running around the place" form of plot construction, best illustrated recently by Martin's Ice & Fire novels.
In the interests of sheer fandom, I'd like to know what people think would be a good framework for Sorcerer in this setting: descriptors, rituals, etc.
Best,
Ron

This is pure boasting. :)
I've now got Abhorsen.
It's got a nice map of the Abhorsen's house in the river.
Magic goes south!
No more spoilers. :)
