NIGHTWATCH
Yahoo! InSpectres' first supplement (called NIGHTWATCH) is online. It's by Scott Knipe (aka Hardcoremoose here at the Forge) and it's pretty damn cool.
InSpectres is a kind of .com Ghostbusters-ish business that investigates and eliminates supernatural problems (problems that Joe and Jane Q. Public are ill-equipped to deal with...or just don't hav ethe time or desire to deal with).
In NIGHTWATCH, the players are part of a syndicated tv show dealing with the supernatural. Both the Nightwatch guys and the InSpectres both investigate the unknown -- but the Nightwatch folks are more keen on reporting it than getting rid of it. Crossover potential abounds as Nightwatch crews follow InSpectres teams on their daily rounds...it's COPS meets Ghostbusters!
Anyway, I'm pretty excited about it.
...so excited that I forgot the URL

( *the moose blushes*)
Two weeks, a couple dozen e-mails, infinite patience on Jared's part, and I finally managed to come up with about a page of original material. It's cool as hell though, so go take a look at it! And if anyone actually plays either InSpectres or NIGHTWATCH, let me know how it goes. With luck my own playtesting will take place next week sometime, and then I can tell you what I already know: InSpectres rocks!

This is what the Forge is all about. It so happens, following a visit to Memento-mori.com after a long absence, that I decided to run InSpectres myself soon.
Best,
Ron

This post is a little on the late side. I have already run an Inspectres game with my group, and the reviews are good. We actually had a focused game session - a complete rarity - and a lot of great character work. Everyone came up with something, from a Buffy type to the bookish researcher to a couple of webheads. I even have a couple more people who are creating characters, and I have a few ideas for more adventures - even a Nightwatch/Inspectres/Ward 13 three-way dance using the same adventure and different groups. This is without a doubt a way cool game.

Excellent.
Due to overwhelming popularity (er, okay...really, a few folks suggested it...but that's enough for me), I'm re-writing InSpectres with the hopes (nay, intent!) to sell it online (either as a PDF or a Ninja Burger-style print RPG).
I'll be running InSpectres at ConQuest this Labor Day Weekend in Palo Alto.

I finished reading the InSpectres, NIGHTWATCH, and ward 13 thoroughly, and must say InSpectres is just as fun as I remembered, NIGHTWATCH tickled me silly, and ward 13 is just spooky amusement!
Kudos to Jared and Scott!
