how did it work, what were the ettiquete rules, what warranted a duel and how were terms of the duel decided?
My next campaign takes place in the Xanarium empire and I want to know about dueling so it can be a feature of the environment. Anything and everything you guys know on the subject would be welcome.

I don't know a lot, although I know that (1) most stuff you hear is either from the classical period or from fabricated Victorian literature and (2) That dueling laws were wildly different from place to place and time to time.
