How cad you die in sorcerer? the main book seems unclear it states that
over 2xstamina will mean you are badly hurt but nothing beyond that.

Right then. The rules used to be a little harsher but I softened them for the hard-copy rulebook. Forgot about that.

Basically, here's how I play. If you take 2xStamina in lasting penalties, subject to the situations I described in the Dungeons and Demons thread, then the character is so badly hurt that he or she cannot do anything but lie there and die. Someone has to help the character. If they do so, appropriately for the setting, then he or she lives; if they don't, then kiss the character goodbye.

Again, though: if the character gets the penalties halved (i.e. the combat is over when he or she takes the damage) or if he or she can make that Will roll vs. 1 die in order to utilize 1 die of functional Stamina, then death is staved off even without help. In both cases, I figure the character's pretty damn incapacitated; in the past, I've hospitalized characters in that condition.
