Well...sort of.

The most immediate answer is that in Of Beasts and Men you'll get critters and stories for Weyrth, but--as always--usable elsewhere. The Flower of Battle will cover armies of Weyrth a little, and Sorcery and the Fey will discuss the magic of Weyrth a bit more. One of these days I'd love to do a "Holy Wars" supplement detailing the religious strife all over the world. What you're not going to ever find is metaplot, or and official advancement of the timeline. We'll fill in the history and detail the present, but I really did turn the world over to you guys when the book was published.

We have a few PDF adventures in the works by outside parties on the "mini supplement" program. 3, last I heard. People have a tendency not to finish, though (Clinton--get your buddy to finish!). Because of SAs it's difficult to write traditional module-style adventures for TROS...the game just doesn't do well when railroaded.

I can understand that difficulty :-) I love creating stories for RPGs and am writing my first story with the TROS system in mind. I "solved" the problem by pre-generating certain aspects of the players' characters. I noticed a submission link on the website; can I submit the story for your perusal?

And that's what i like the most.

Metaplots bug me, and so does "advancing the story line". Nothing can screw up a well established game quicker than advancing th storyline. Metaplots, well, they remind me of White Wolf games and the railroading that sometimes happens there. The players will buy books to figure out what's going on because they want to know.

You think WW are bad? Try 7th Sea or Deadlands. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both games (and Shane Hensley of Deadlands fame is a hell of a great guy) but Yee Gods, if you don't play their metaplot you're made to feel that you're somehow doing it all wrong and you're the worst kind of prairie tick if you don't buy ALL the books.

Having said that, you're all scum if you don't buy OBAM... :-)

Yes, that was a joke.

Brian.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Brave New World for metaplot goodness
;)

As for things I woudl love to see fleshed out for the setting are both Thayrism and ancient Wyerth (i.e., when Xanar comes a-marching). I'd like to write something... but i'm an unreliable bastard (sorry to several people present...)
