First Gaming Session

On Friday, our group had our first gaming session; after chargen, which took us more than 2 hours because the Seneschal had to explain everything, we started.... and it was great! (even if we didn't have any battles yet!)
Our Characters had to be made so that they would want to join a band of mercenaries for the next crusade against helipath? (We are in Oustenreich; sounds similar to Österreich or Austria, where I live :-)
So two players decided to be female twins; one was an archer, the other a medicus (doctor) and they both took the advantage "Beauty of Legends"! (As you can imagine, the mercenaries REALLY hoped they would join them (or be taken, as there were many possible candidates and it wasn't sure that they were taken) One of the other players took the Flaw Lecherosness, so he also had a reason to join :-)
And then the two ladies went to Volker, who was second in command. First the medicus was sent to the hospital (Lazarett) - like my weaponsmith, she was so useful to the mercs that it was nearly sure that she was taken. To the other woman (the archer) he said "Can you handle horses?" "Of course". she said. "OK, the stables are over there. Clean them!" Imagine her/his face!!! The others were ordered to peel carrots and to get water (I went to the smith and as I was the only weaponsmith in the camp, i repaired all of their swords!
After a week, all of us were taken and now we are having our combat training (the seneschal explains to us, as the merc trainer, how combat is handled- we learn the fight in game..)

So, as a summary, it was a great experience (my first medieval RPG) and I eager to play next week! Then we'll have a real combat (each of us has a reserve-character - the seneschal said that we can take him for the fight; as this is a fight we cannot circumvent.

Thanks to Jake Norwood for the great game!

You're welcome.

My dad is an Austrian, from Oberausterriech, I think. Wels.

I know Wels (although I've never been there, for Austrians it's a long way from Vienna to Wels in OBERÖSTERREICH (there seems to be no "ö" in English :-)) - you drive nearly 2 hours :-)
Is there something like a national package (Bonus and Malus to Attr.) for Oustenreich? Our Seneschal didn't say anything, maybe he forgot it (he already had lots of work and for the Introduction it didn't really matter, but soon the bad guys will be coming!)

Ouestenreichers can understand both Stahlnish and Geluroise when spoken simply (they may also gain both languages as a skill for the price of one). They are very familiar with the forests (free Skill-Forest Survival) and the legends surrounding them (free Skill-Folk Lore).
