ACTION! SYSTEM RELEASED UNDER OGL
May 1, 2003
(Elk Grove, CA) Gold Rush Games announced today that it has released the popular Action! System Core Rules version 1.1 under the Open Game License.
"By releasing the Action! System Core Rules under the Open Game License," said Gold Rush Games president Mark Arsenault, "we've provided an alternative for publishers and designers that work with open content or publish products using the OGL. According to Wizards of the Coast, publisher of the Open Game License, '...there will always be people who find different game systems more entertaining for different types of games and different genres.' We certainly agree."
In related news, Gold Rush Games has also released the official Action! System Trademark License, allowing publishers and fans to use the Action! System trademarks on products that contain open content derived from the Action! System Core Rules.
