A sorcerer is race pick B. Unlanded gentry is also pick B. What do I do when a character's concept is unlanded gentry that dabbles in the arts -- the decadent, idle rich. :-)

Set one to pick A and just say, "Oh, I'm going to use a lower-ranked option for this because my priorities clash".

Or build him that way with insight, if you have any.

If you are running the game and it doesn't bother you just give him the free extra B just for kicks and go from there.

Well, if you wanted to do it with some consistancy, allow him to drop his A to a B, but then elevate his D to a C.
Then he has two Bs and two C's rather than an a,b,c,d :)

Both of those are great solutions.

take Race as A and play a human sorcer that has already bought off the compulsory flaw... or gets a free minor sorcerous gift. A GM I'd let that fly.
