I've been playing the combat sim and I can't beat Das Monk with any of the other humans. The closest I could come was using Max Steele, ignoring the staff hits, and going full-out to take Das Monk out. That's pretty high risk though. So, to become more familiar with combat, I ask: What are some secrets to fighting Das Monkey?

not sure i see the problem

I tried this myself and the monk ended up with a nasty head wound on the first exchange. Just got really unlucky on his parry and Max Steele ended up with a single success. That was all it took to hurt the monk pretty badly.

You do know that you can make up new characters as well, right? You donĀ“t have to use the built-in ones. :-)

In fact, if you have the CharGen, you can make them up in that and port them into the combat sim.

Funny...

I checked out the Monk myself and put him up against a few average characters I had created, expecting a few interesting results. But Das Monk got murdered every time. I'm not saying he died after a few exchanges, but the first or second exchange he would be missing some important parts, like arms, legs, his head, heart, brain etc...
