New article up, and tiny State o' the Forge

Everyone,

I've been gone and busy for the last few weeks, and for that, I apologize. Finally relocated, and with a new job, I should be online quite a bit more. I am on dial-up for the next month or so, so I won't be my usual zippy self, but I'll try.

There's a new article by M.J. Young up, and it's damn good. There'll be another one up soon (Gareth, aka contracycle, e-mail me to give me your e-mail address and how you want to be credited), and both expound upon Ron's GNS theory. I'm real happy to see people finally contributing articles and publishing new ideas. Please feel free to do so, everyone else.

I noticed this morning that the Forge database had gotten so big that I needed to upgrade the Forge's hosting plan. I took care of it in time, which was good. If you've got a little extra scratch, feel free to help out with the new fees by going to http://www.dreamhost.com/donate.cgi?id=14.

I've been enjoying everyone's posts a lot lately. I haven't had time to respond, but keep it up.

On a personal note, if you know anyone interested in some RPGs in New Orleans, tell 'em to drop me a note.

A Suggestion for the Articles (and Reviews)

I would find it useful if the Articles (and Reviews) were dated. The ideas expressed in them are not static. Knowing when they were written (and/or edited) could clarify their perspective and the climate in which they were written. Overall, this is a minor point, but I felt it was worth mentioning.

I enjoy the site very much. Lots of really excellent ideas and hard work went into it. To paraphrase Capt Kirk, "Now I have something new to think about."....I can always count on that being true here. Thanks.

I'll second that. Even something as vague as a year, if you can't remember the original date of the article in detail, could be useful...
