I just found out how fun it is to play a character looking for a fight....I have a guy who is seeking revenge against all gelureans and the church of the 3, he hates them all and wants them all dead. HE also has major bloodlust and A high wit with ridicule at 7, this means he does nothing but pick fights. When confronted by a bunch of guards he said that he was on personal business, when asked what business he said he was off to kill the king, teh kings mom, and the kings dog. And the guards thought he was insane so they laughed at him and let him pass. Then he was picked out by some bandits and asked to surrender so he told them that they could surrender first and then drew his dopplehander and asked who was first. Mind you, the group had no clue that I was going to say any of this and was a bit annoyed at this guy picking a fight.
anyways, when the bandits ran he had to shoot one of them 3 times before he died all for the flaw.
The other fun bit of this character is taht he is a defamed noble, now landless, and he refers to the party as his court. one PC is a knightly priest who is know my characters court jester, steward and astrologer. He used to be the mathematician as well but lost me money gambling so I fired his ass. This and teh constant picking of fights has sparked some fun group tension.
anyways, I am wondering if anyone else has played with the major flaw of bloodlust? if so what has your experience been like?

i love making guys like that. it becomes bery fun when you have things like Bloodlust and rage along with the vow never to kill someone. thats funny...
another really good combination is Beauty of Legends, Good reputation, Lecherousness, and the vow of abstinance. i had a character like that and MAN was it frustrating lol.

Hi Ashren,
Sounds like a great way to rack up the Insight for one's next character.

Really? It sounds frustrating to me. Are you describing a real character that you played? What was satisfying about it, specifically?
Best,
Ron

actually it was a character i played once. mainly it was for comic relief, but it was actually very fun and rewarding to play because it gave some good insisght/helped me to develope a greater respect for the combat system. it also gave me good practice on getting out of trouble when a fight came that was impossible to win. in the end i bought off the rage and bloodlust flaws, however as soon as i did, my character was killed in the next duel he fought... all in all thoguht it was a very fun experience playing such a conflicting person.

Hey, I like that! So ultimately, the character was right to want to avoid combat ... because when he finally gets into a fight, he's killed.
That's a nice dark story.
Best,
Ron
