The Diana Jones Award is the insustry-only award for "excellence" in the gaming community. Ron Edwards won it last year.

I really wanted a nomination, I confess. I'm stoked.

Morfedel, the Diana Jones website has all manner of information designed to answer questions just like yours.

Best,

A little patience and kindness costs very little, Ron. So, granted, I didn't explore the web site, but I felt no need; I thought I would discuss it here, instead, with my friends.

My mistake.

Only problem with that is that there's not much to say about the award (nothing at all that isn't on the tiny site). That is, it's quite mysterious in that basically we're only aware of four of the panel members, and the criteria are unknown - presumably just the panel's whim, though who can say.

Why is it the source of such esteem? Well, the panel members that are known are well respected, and their decisions seem to be based solely on non-"Industry" standards. Hence their special appreciation here on The Forge. That and Ron's win last year.

Jake well deserves the nomination. Congratulations.

Mike

Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with extending a little patience.

And I agree, congrats, Jake.

Allow me to rescind my earlier reaction, partially. Granted, I could have and should have tried the web site earlier. I didn't. I still dont think I deserved the condescending reaction I received either, however.

Should we start a letter writing campaign agitiating for a TRoS win?

Congrats Jake! Good luck.

Yet another reason to be sad that I'm missing GenCon this year. :(

Who to? With only four "outed" members of the panel? Of which one has already stated he's sitting it out?

I'm not saying no, but I'd hate to get out my green crayon and scrawl all over my carboard and have nowhere to send it....

...sorry, that was letters of complaint to my local TV station, wasn't it.
