Mythosystem

Hi, I've thrown together a little generic fantasy system during some Wayfarer Song burn-out downtime. It is nothing too special, but I thought I'd post a link to it and see if I can get a bit of feedback.

I've already put the game through one feedback session at RPG.net and given the game a makeover based on the comments. This mostly involved smoothing the game out and changing some rules so that the whole game felt more rules-lite.

I've a feeling that the style of the game is more likely to appeal to the Forge crowd so I thought I'd try a thread over here too. Anyway, here is the link, any and all comments appreciated...

Hey, Chris.

It might take me a few days to read over it, but I promise to give you some feedback soon as I can. I really enjoyed reading the Wayfarer's Song rules and still hope to try them out someday. (I really love how the rules and setting tie together, and you do the original setting material justice which few people manage). From a first glance, this new system looks impressive. (I take it you've read and been impressed by HeroQuest, too.)

Yeah, probably more appropriate to say I was impressed by reading HeroWars and then further impressed by the HeroQuest reviews that I've seen.

There are some functional differences in how I've implimented the Action Points concept, but I have give the credit for the original inspiration where it is due. Likewise HQ inspired the skill/conflict paradigm shift (all contests of skill - not just combat - can be exciting and dramatic.)

But, like I said, the system has a lot of rehashed ideas and really is just a tinker aroundto give my brain a break. I like the end result slightly better than the core Wayfarer rules, but I'm not sure there is anything to revolutionary in them.

Still feedback is always good.
