Co-Op Advertising Opportunity
Hello All,
I am not sure this is appropriate for the Forge but I think it could be useful and hopefully Ron and Clay will allow it. We are in the process of thinking up a Co-Op Advertising program. I was wondering if there might be interest here since some people have mentioned co-op efforts in other threads. I am looking for input on the program and whether there would be any interest.
HinterWelt Co-Op Advertising Prospectus (PDF 275 K)
HinterWelt Co-Op Advertising Prospectus HTML (for those who do not like PDF)
Summary
* Ads run in KODT and Knights Illustrated
* Inclusion in other publications (possibly Nodwick or Dork Tower) as HinterWelt expands advertising
* Begins January 2004
* Ad size 1" tall by 2" wide
* A way for a small independent game company to get their web site out in international publications
* An off line in print method of advertising
* Cost: $90 per Quarter paid in advance
* Refunds if the ads do not run
We are open to suggestions and are really in the research phase to see if there would be any interest.
Would you rather see other publications? We have been considering Valkyrie, PS238, Nodwick, Dork Tower...others?
Would you rather see different pricing? Are we asking too much?
Please give us your input!
Thanks,
Bill

very interesting.
how big is the total ad space that we are contributing $90 towards?
how many ads per quarter/per $90?

If you look at the documents you will see a mockup of the layout. The space varies on the periodical but is roughly just ofver 6" wide and 9" tall. If you have a Knights of the Dinner Table, Grey Ghost does something similar.
It would be a minimum of 6 ads (2 per month) per quarter. One full page in KODT and one full page in Knights Illustrated. $90 get you a 1" tall by 2" wide ad in each magazine for three months. That is $15 per ad.
Hopefully that helped, :)

I don't know how Ron feels about it, but I personally am not offended by the post. It's worth keeping in mind though that I'm in no way associated with the management of this site. I'd worry more about Clinton's opinion than my own, since he's the guy who keeps the lights on.

Huh, looks like I have to weigh in.
Seems like a perfectly good publishing topic to me.
Best,

Yeah, sounds good.
Sign us, nerdnyc.com, for a slot.
Make sure it not too close to the Burning Wheel slot, we don't want to be associated.
[i'm kidding, we loves us some burning wheel] - edit

That makes six slots spoken for. Thanks Aaron.
To make it work we need to get a few more but we are off to a good start and I am doing my best to recruit with direct emails.
Thanks,
Bill
