Thanks everyone for the astounding success of Daedalus' inaugural issue. It was well-received and widely read. To date, I have recorded well over 2,200 downloads of the PDF, and a similar number of page downloads for the Daedalus home page.

This January, Daedalus will publish its second issue, and my ambition is to make it even more powerful and successful than the first! The theme for the issue will be science ficition in RPGs. For that theme, I seek a number of articles that assess the condition of science fiction in RPGs, how it compares and contrasts with the established litarary tradition of science fiction (and also film). I want to see thoughtful commentary from people about what works, what doesn't work, what's missing, and how to improve the scene.

Naturally, I'm eager for a science-fiction inspired cover image from a willing artist!

Further, I'm looking for an appropriate Q&A subject as it relates to this theme. I have a couple ideas, but I'm more than happy to hear other suggestions.

In addition to this them, Daedalus needs a number of non-theme related articles, editorials, reviews, and other content, including gaming material, of course! I'm also eager to have artowork and fiction.

The deadline for submissions is December 31 -- the end of the calendar year!

Dammit, Matt.

This is just the kind of blatant excuse I need to pull Fingers on the Firmament off the backburner.

Can't you let me finish one project before you tempt me to start another?

Shreyas must have bribed you...
