I figure it can't hurt anyone's publishing efforts to be voted "best" of something. (trust me).

So pop on over to Pen and Paper and vote in the Fan Awards for your favorite Forge game. Leave a note here for what categories you voted in/for so we can vote in blocs.

Ok, I voted. It's tough to fit us all in the categories they provide!

Best Supplement: Sex and Sorcery. Come on!

Best Author: Ron Edwards for Sex and Sorcery (but really for the thesis he's written online)

Ok, those are two throwaways ;)

Best Editor: Pete Tierney for The Burning Wheel (hey, he deserves credit for putting up with me.)

Best Interior Arist: Colin Theriot for MLwM

Best Publisher: Driftwood Publishing

Best Zine: Daedalus by Matt Snyder

Hall of Fame: Greg Porter of BTRC. Such an inspiration! (and a warhorse!) This one is the most important for me. If we could get Greg in same hall of fame as G Gygax and Tweet, I think it would be a coup!

And of course, I voted Burning Wheel for Best RPG and Best Graphic Design. But you should vote for your favorite game here, too!

And now I'm thinking I dropped the ball by not voting for Colin for Best Interior Artist. "Overall Achievement" just means multiple instances for the year, right? And he did multiple illustrations for My Life with Master that were all awesome.

Poop. I just bummed myself out.

Hiya,

Issaries folks gained a lot of my support this time around.

I'm thinkin' that maybe stating outright how you voted is kind of a problematic issue. I wouldn't want to have a "Forge party ticket" develop inadvertently.

So if you want to post your votes like Paul did, that's all right ... but consider that you might not want to, and that that would be all right too.

Best,
Ron

Good point. This year I'm grotesquely biased, for obvious reasons that no one is going to fault me for, so I actually didn't even think twice about posting how I'd voted. But any other year, having made difficult choices among equally deserving candidates, I'd almost certainly have not done so.
