Is Sword and Sorcerer a stand alone product or does one require Sorcerer for a fully functional system?

Sorcerer and Sword is a supplement to the game Sorcerer. It won't give you the rules of Sorcerer by itself. However, the book is broadly applicable to Sword and Sorcery style games as well.

And as a recent convert, I can say, chock full o' goodness. And you can always check out Apprentice Sorcerer (on the Sorcerer website) to give you the gist of the rules.
