Two questions

Do bludgeoning, cutting or puncturing type attacks have any effect on how much armor they're able to get through?

Also, is there any rule I skipped in which you can be hurt through punching hard surfaces? Armor would obviously apply, but an untrained person can hurt themselves just by connecting poorly with alot of impact on someone's skull.

Thanks.

Not at the moment, however some weapons get bonuses or penalties depending on the type of armor they're attacking. In TFOB there will be an optional list of bonuses and penalties for attack types vs. armor types but very much optional, since it adds more book keeping to combat.
