Out of the blue the other day, I recieved a magazine in the mail called "Games Quarterly." The magazine is about...well, games: board, card, RPG, etc. And as I sat here today flipping through it, lo and behold, I stumbled across an article by Peter D. Adkison called "The Other Trend in Roleplaying Games (or how I learned to stop worrying that d20 spells the end of innovative RPG design)."
If you're interested in seeing what the esteemed Mr. Adkison had to say, the issue is "Games Quarterly Magazine #3 - Fall" pages 38-39. In summary: the article compares the Forge to a badly needed think-tank for the hobby, and gives what I would refer to as a glowing review of the site and what takes place here. It also gives a brief overview of a few basic GNS terms and thoughts, then finally presents the argument that all this theory and thinking is a GOOD thing for the hobby, and for an individual's own games.
Not bad at all! Thank you, Peter!

Hey Raven, see also
this thread
and
this thread
I haven't gotten my issue yet, but there should have been an ad for Uni and R&R adjacent to Peter's article. I tried to get some Forge folks interested in snagging that space months ago but there was little interest.
But I will say that they are extremely easy to work with and really went out of their way to work with me. They have a definite desire to expand the magazine's coverage beyond the obvious candidates so if you are looking for an avenue to promote to a more mainstream gamer crowd I found GQM to have some pretty good circulation, and they were very flexible.

Yes, the ad is right next to the second page of the article. You can view it online as a .pdf
here.
