This bboard has too many high-brow critics in it (including myself somewhat in that august company) to not have a media forum to cover TV, Movies, and written literature.  Not the usual "oh, I saw LotR, that ruled" stuff, but something supportive of what I see as the Forge's mission, namely, supporting critical play and design of games.

Opinions?

I wouldn't see a problem with a forum whose goal was to discuss film, theatre, and novels as they they can be applied to role playing.  Theres application across GNS.

Topics of discussion could range from the best way to simulate a particular movie environment or genre, to how best to structure a narrativist session so that it produces a story similiar to a novel or play, to how to design mechanics that allow quick action packed resolution like seen in the movies.
