Hi!
I noticed there are things that give you tells, but nothing that removes them.
It seems to me that the tell mechanic could be tied to two other factors:
Stress/Mental State: I think the tells should be more pronounced when characters are more stressed out
Stakes: Lying to a waitress is easier than lying to a mob boss.
So maybe doing things that lower stress lowers the tell and the Stakes of the situation modify the effect of the tell?

There are devices that remove tells, but you must work to remove them, fighting against their consequence. I will start this up in a new thread soon, as this one is effectively dead.

Hi!
What about using Alchohol, drugs, sex and fighting to relieve that stress level with a mechanic to magnify the tell if you overdo it? So, if you have a drink, your tells are minimized, but if you overdo it, you start blabbing your secrets? Might be a good wway to model this lifestyle...
