I don't know how easy (or desireable) this would be, but would it be possible to expand the user profiles to include "Games Designed" and/or "Current Projects" blurbs?
Would this be a good idea?
I can see it being extremely useful (both as an information resource and a sort of business card) for those who are new to The Forge or are sporadic visitors.

I can't say how doable it is, but I'm under the impression it's not very desirable. The social hierarchy, or the lack thereof, is important to the dynamic of the discussion here. This way lurker unpublished boy like me and famous schmamous game design guy can engage in a discussion on more-or-less equal footing. If you wish to list such things, there is the signature file and you can always provide a link to your website on your profile.

That's a serious concern.
I'm unpublished, too, by the way. I'm certainly not in this for the ego boost.
I was thinking that putting the info in the User Profile would be fairly low-impact. It is there if you're interested - but if you never click on someone's name, you'll never see it.
On the other hand, if there is even a chance that it would jeopardize the sort of community that exists here, then forget about it.

Personally I'm for it.
It seems useful to be able to go "Who's that? Ah - I see, the guy that did (insert gamename here) i remember being impressed by that, he obviously knows what he's talking about"
On the other hand, if someone
doesn't
have any game credits in their profile, I don't care.
