Title: In the hospital
Post by: Michael Hopcroft on May 05, 2003, 12:27:41 AM
One of the problems with a one-man operation is that when that one man gets sick things tend to slow to a screeching halt.

I am going to be difficult to reach for a little while as I am in the hospital. Well wishers should write to hugopig3@yahoo.com or send me a private message at the Forge.

I'm out of the hospital now and doing much better. Congratulatory notes are in order. I'm also having an online chat psarty tonight to celebrate my return.

Glad to hear it.
Title: Glad to be back to work

I am really glad to be out and back to work. Maybe now I can get caught up on my production schedule 9and apply the whip to the people who owe me work).

Anyone else have this kind of trouble?

The hospital decided my problem wasfar more complicated that I thought it was and they really knew how to deal with. So I'm not entirely well. But I'm well enough to work on the company.

Sorry to hear that you're not entirely well yet, but it's good to hear you're back at work and great to hear that you're feeling better.

The hospital likes to do this to me (and, for that matter, scare me when they have no need to be doing so) too, but they do deal with things.

If it's any consolation, I couldn;t wait to get out of there and back to work. I just didn;t feel safe there and I felt like my business was atrophying. If my May sales at RPGNow are any indication, my abscence has indeed hurt my company.

June should be a big month, though, with the release of HeartQuest Diceless at the beginning of the month and HeartQuest Second edition at the end. Then two major manuscripts, including a brand-new game, are due to arrive in manuscript form July 1. Plus in the two weeks I've been out I've made remarkable progress on both Fuzz: the Furry Polcie RPG and As Told By..., in which I am taking an even more active role than usual than the design. oth games look like they will be out by the end of 2003.

The one thorn in my side remains HeartQuest Online. It;s been on the schedule for 18 months and I still haven;t found anyone with the expertise to write the book who's willing to do it at an affordable rate. I am frustrated to the ends of the earth because it's such a great idea for a book (instructions on how to play shhoujo RPGs online).
