I believe that I understand that escalating is an opportunity to bring in others to the conflict, and I understand that they use stat dice that match the new arena.  My question is, are they obligated to meet the expectations of that arena?  If I escalate to Murder, and bring my buddy in on the action, does he have to try, at least once, to kill something?
