Pelgrane are doing a new version of Call of Cthulhu under license, and we've done a survey to get some idea of what people want. This data should be taken with the usual pinch of salt - the people filling it in are those who frequent certain places on line - farily hard-core fans. Still, the feedback might be useful for publishers, so I'll summarize what I've discovered so far.

If you decide to fill in the survey, please that you saw the link here on the Forge in the final question. If you do fill in the form, you'll be able to have direct access to the data.

We've had about 250 respondees so far.

77% have played CoC in the last year.
18% define themselves as mainly a player rather than a GM, 62.5% are mainly GMs
The average gaming group is 5.62, but this is skewed upwards by a small proportion who have very large groups - perhaps online players or larpers.
40.6% play an earlier edition rather than the current (6th Edition)
78% prefer long term campaigns to one shot adventures.

Many of the qualitiative responses are informed by the Forge judging by the use of language. Setting supporting system, conflict resolution, stakes, etc all make their appearance.
